Affiliate Marketing definition? Basics of affiliate marketing explained.

So you maybe wondering from a very long time that what is affiliate marketing? All those youtubers and many bloggers are posting content about it, but most of them do not tell you what exactly it is.

Let me tell you a tale of a guy who didn’t knew what it was either. He was also just a normal guy who had a 9-5 ‘BORING’ job just like most of his friends,  but the difference was that he dreamt big and wanted to be financially independent. One of his blogger friend advised him to do affiliate marketing and introduced him to it and from there on his life completely overturned and now he is a successful and financially independent just like he wanted.

That guy is the owner of this website, i.e. me.

In this post I am going to explain you the basics of affiliate marketing that my friend explained to me and become that ultimate friend to you.

So, lets get started!

    ü  What is affiliate marketing?

   Affiliate marketing is one of the branch of product marketing in which you do not promote your own product, but instead promote someone else’s product. And for every lead of customer that someone gets you get a fixed commission (mostly >50%).

    ü  Why to do affiliate marketing?

   Affiliate marketing is the best way to earn money online for numerous ways:

1)     YOU DON’T NEED A STORE

2)     YOU DON’T NEED TO MANAGE YOUR PRODUCTS

3)     YOU DON’T NEED TO SHIP THE PRODUCT

4)     MUCH EASIER THAT OWNING A DROPSHIPPING STORE

5)     YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RETURNS OR SERVICE OF THE PRODUCTS

6)     YOU EARN COLD, HARD CASH VIA COMMISION!!!

Also the initial cost requirement is only for the product advertisements and that too can be done for free nowadays!

    ü  Where to learn affiliate marketing?

    ü  What do you need to be an affiliate?

   If you don’t have a degree or diploma, don’t worry. If you don’t have any sales experience then also don’t worry. Affiliate marketing does not require any of those things from you. All you need is a mobile/laptop and a stable internet connection and you are good to go. But you might also need  a will to be financially independent and you can do it too, just like me.

    ü  Where can you be an affiliate?

   There are numerous affiliate programs out there on the internet. You just need to find the one that fits you the best. Some of them are amazon associate, e-bay partner and other e-commerce stores affiliate programs. But yes, you might need a website to promote their product.

If you want to do it without the websites then there are CPA/CPL (Cost per action/Cost per lead) websites like ClickBank, MaxBounty, Clickbooth etc., that might help you.

    ü  How much will you earn?

And at last the most important question, how much does an affiliate earns? Well at the beginning it might be slow like $700-$1000/month but once you get a hang of it earning almost $45-50k/month is easy as bread and butter.
